Sabalenka Claims First Title of the Year

World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka captured her first trophy of 2026 by winning the WTA tournament in Brisbane, Onliner notifies.

In the final, the Belarusian defeated Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk in straight sets, 6–4, 6–3.

Sabalenka recorded four victories on her way to the title, beating opponents from Spain, Romania, the United States and the Czech Republic.

The win marked the 22nd WTA title of her career, allowing her to surpass Victoria Azarenka.

Sabalenka also made history by becoming the first player to reach the Brisbane final three years in a row.
