230 foreigners granted Belarusian citizenship

The President of Belarus has signed a decree granting citizenship to 230 foreign nationals, including 13 minors, according to Sputnik.

The new citizens come from 19 countries, with the largest group having previously relocated from Ukraine.

All recipients have lived in Belarus for at least five years, speak one of the country’s official languages, and are employed across key sectors of the economy, including industry, agriculture, education, and trade.

The decision highlights the role of foreign residents in supporting Belarus’s social and economic development.
